Susanne Lloyd-Jones studied at Trinity College of Music in London. She is a classical pianist and singer and has been involved in music education throughout her career. She has now extended her repertoire and skills into performing Scottish Traditional Music.  Susanne enjoys improvising as well as learning folk songs from all over Scotland.

George Pain has been steeped in traditional music and fiddle playing throughout his life. He has led the Thurso Strathspey & Reel Society for more than twenty years and has played at numerous Fiddlers' Rallies throughout Scotland, sometimes as guest artist. A popular local teacher of fiddle, he is keen to encourage youngsters to play traditional music and runs a group in Thurso High School.

Susanne and George met by chance in October 2014 ... they initially formed a duo to entertain American guests at a houseparty at the Castle of Mey in Caithness. From the first rehearsal, the pair knew they had struck a special rapport and were determined to continue playing together.  'Harmony & Horsehair' was born!

The duo have performed in Cumbria and throughout Scotland. They are available for private functions such as parties or weddings, as well as corporate entertainment.
